About The Position

GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for a Welder I to join our Production Team! This role involves performing all operations in the manufacture of standard separators, receivers, heat exchangers, and standard compressor packages to required specifications and budgets. Responsibilities include assembling and welding internal and external parts, installing sub-assembly parts, heads, sub arc wrappers, supports, legs, angles, water boxes, and system piping. The position also involves assisting in training less experienced employees and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred
  • Minimum Experience: Vocation Training or Less than 2 related assembly experience
  • Pipe welding (Ability to qualify in a 6G test for Mig, Pulse and Tig)
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Basic fabrication skills
  • Comprehension of safety rules
  • Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.
  • Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs
  • Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and or machinery
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required to support customer satisfaction
  • Supports all continuous improvement and 6S standards
  • Follow all Safety Policy PPE Requirements
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
