About The Position

This role involves learning to work from drawings and written work instructions with step-by-step guidance. You will assist with machine set-ups, operate equipment, and help maintain quality and productivity standards. The position includes inspecting parts using basic measuring tools and visual checks, performing visual inspections for part and weld quality, and learning about quality tools and data (including SPC). You will also use basic computer systems to record work and labor time.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent GED
Eagerness to learn
Mechanical mindset and enjoy working with your hands
Attention to details
Prior manufacturing, mechanical, assembly, automotive, or technical experience (helpful, but not required)

Responsibilities

Learn to work from drawings and written work instructions, with step-by-step guidance and support from experienced teammates.
Assist with machine set-ups and operating conditions, learning how equipment works and when to ask for help.
Help maintain quality and productivity standards, making simple adjustments as you build confidence and skills.
Inspect parts using basic measuring tools (such as micrometers and verniers) and visual checks.
Perform visual inspections to check part and weld quality, and learn when additional inspection is needed.
Learn how we use quality tools and data (including SPC) to prevent issues and continuously improve our processes.
Use basic computer systems to record work and labor time, with hands-on training provided.
