About The Position

HUTCO, INC. is currently seeking Welders and Fitters for a position in Freeport, TX. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. Candidates must be able to pass hands-on certification tests, a drug test, and E-Verify. The job involves working in confined spaces, manipulating loads, operating machinery, and traversing various heights and surfaces. Essential job functions include knowledge of equipment, work processes, and techniques, as well as performing all functions in conformity with applicable regulations and safety practices. Physical demands include stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling, lifting, and reaching.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience.
Must be able to pass hands-on certification tests.
Must pass drug test and E-Verify.
Knowledge of equipment, work processes, and techniques used for this role.
Ability to perform all functions of the position in conformity with applicable regulations and generally observed safety practices.
Ability to enter and move through manholes to reach and work in internally confined spaces.
Ability to manipulate and transport loads up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet approximately 1 to 6 times during each 8 hour shift, occasionally 75 pounds.
Ability to manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position of Structural Welder.
Ability to traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.
Ability to traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces and uneven heights between dock and vessel.
Ability to perform stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling, lifting, and reaching.
