We are seeking a Fitter / Fabricator to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, precise, and efficient fitting and welding of components, with a primary focus on GTAW welding. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

Requirements

  • Experience with TIG welding process.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, grinders, and measurement devices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding work.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Nice To Haves

  • Current CWB Certification in relevant welding processes.
  • Experience with GMAW and FCAW/MCAW processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality welding primarily using GTAW on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
  • Utilize GMAW and FCAW/MCAW processes as required based on project specifications, material type, and production needs.
  • Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
  • Fit, align, and assemble components prior to welding, ensuring proper joint preparation, tolerances, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Cary out tacking, pre-heating, and post-weld operations in accordance with welding procedures and standards.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and operational efficiency.
  • Accurately document work performed, including weld data, inspection results, and job tracking.
  • Perform minor repairs, rework, and modifications to welded components when required.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors, and team members to support production goals and resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
