About The Position

High Steel Structures is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their 2nd-shift team. This role involves performing various fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding, and related operations to assemble and fabricate structural steel units, including bridges and other building products. The company has a strong reputation for fabricating complex bridge and transportation projects and is looking for individuals with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in either D1.1 or D1.5 welding. For those with only D1.1 experience, High Steel University offers mentoring to gain D1.5 certifications. The 2nd shift operates four nights a week, Monday through Thursday, from 3 PM to 1:30 AM.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in either D1.1 or D1.5 welding.
  • High school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.
  • Demonstrated welding experience, including Stick, MIG, and/or Submerged Arc desired.
  • Ability to work from prints, specification tables and with adjustable layout and measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to pass the required welding certification test.

Nice To Haves

  • High school or post-secondary coursework or degree in welding/fabrication highly preferred.
