Requirements

Journeyman Red Seal Welder certification
1-2 years of experience in commercial truck and trailer welding repairs
Team player who can share his/her knowledge by teaching and coaching junior employees
Ability to work safely in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving ability
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding duties
Must be computer literate and have the ability to learn new programs
Demonstrate and promote work-safe practices

Responsibilities

General welding repairs on trailers, trucks, and custom equipment
Perform custom fabrication of truck, trailer, and heavy equipment components to meet customer specifications
Perform welding repair inspections and time estimates on road equipment
Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine requirements
Complete Structural Welding
Customize mobile equipment and/or parts as per the customer's request
Provide welding support primarily in the shop and occasionally in the field
Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
Develop a welding repair process with the Service Manager
Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and guidelines
