About The Position

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a fabricator and fit-up Welder for a custom metal fabrication client in Clackamas, Oregon. This role primarily involves TIG and MIG welding, with a significant emphasis on layout and fabrication. The ideal candidate will fabricate and fit up parts for welding, perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel, and MIG welding on mild steel ranging from 16 gauge to 1/2 inch. Responsibilities include verifying work piece conformance to specifications using measuring tools, and aligning and fitting parts according to blueprints and layout specifications. The role also involves using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools. A fabrication background including saw cutting, drilling, and machining is required.

Requirements

Fabrication background needed
Experience with saw cutting, drilling, machining
Ability to TIG weld aluminum and stainless steel
Ability to MIG weld mild steel from 16ga to 1/2"
Proficiency in using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
Ability to align and fit parts according to specifications
Ability to follow blueprints and layout specifications
Experience using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools

Responsibilities
