About The Position

This role involves creating quality welds according to blueprints, preparing products for welding by performing tasks such as grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel parts. The position also includes changing wire and welding consumables as needed, managing gas tanks, and ensuring all equipment is set up and used safely with all safety devices in place. Additional duties may include operating a forklift, monitoring and requesting maintenance for equipment, performing simple maintenance and repairs, cross-training in other company areas, and accurately entering time and attendance data. The job requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Create quality welds according to blueprints
Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel parts
Change wire, welding, as needed
Change gas tanks, as needed
Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use
Shear and Brake Press experience a Plus
Operate forklift, if required and trained
Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
Perform simple maintenance and repair as required
Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the company
Required to have proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system
Must be able to lift minimum 50 pounds
