About The Position

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Welder/Fabricator - 2nd Shift to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The Welder/Fabricator will fabricate and weld pressure vessels and related components in accordance to ASME code. Cleaver-Brooks is a wonderful and innovative company who appreciates the hard work our employees put forth every day. Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • good reading, writing and math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year degree in Welding Technology preferred
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding experience preferred
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and ability to pass a 6G welding test according to ASME code preferred.
  • Have the ability to read blueprints and process sheets accurately preferred
  • Have experience with measurement tools, preferred.
  • Metal Fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate the overhead crane, scissor lift, use scaffolding & ladders.
  • Ability to work in confined space and up to 25 feet heights as required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and process sheets accurately.
  • Willing to learn the following weld certifications: GMAW-S (FCAW), All positions, desired GMAW-SC, All positions, desired SMAW, All positions, desired GTAW, All positions, desired

Responsibilities

  • Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety rules.
  • Be willing to learn how to operate the overhead crane, scissor lift, use scaffolding & ladders.
  • Must have the ability to work in confined space and up to 25 feet heights as required.
  • Have the ability to read blueprints and process sheets accurately preferred.
  • Must know, understand, and abide by 5S housekeeping procedures and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Be willing to understand and use IFS time keeping system to clock on/off jobs correctly and accurately.
  • Must demonstrate full competence in meeting safety, quality and production standards.
  • Willing to learn the following weld certifications: GMAW-S (FCAW), All positions, desired GMAW-SC, All positions, desired SMAW, All positions, desired GTAW, All positions, desired
  • Must follow Procedures for Welder performance Qualification Testing.
  • Performs work as a Floater in the Fabrication & Assembly, Pressure Vessel, or CNC Departments as assigned.
  • Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
  • Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Support peers and management with internal and external projects.
  • Adhere to company policies.
  • Performs all other job duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Must be able to speak and read English
