About The Position

Proficient in various weld processes including GMAW and GTAW for custom fabrication. Welds materials including Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. Reads, understands, and works with engineering drawings and CAD drawings. Performs accurate measurement, cutting, and detailing of materials. Performs Quality Control on finished products to ensure they meet specified performance standards and tolerances. Fabricates quality parts and structures within specified dimensional tolerances. Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information is unavailable. Assists in orienting new team members and coaching team on work procedures. Assists in scheduling daily work assignments and ensuring performance standards are met. Applies knowledge of aerospace processes and mechanical assembly for fabrication.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • American Welding Society Certification (AWS) is required.
  • At least 5 years of metal fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
  • Proficient in GMAW and GTAW welding processes.
  • Experience welding Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.
  • Knowledge of fractional and decimal measurements and use of measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of aerospace processes and manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to perform Quality Control inspections and ensure compliance with tolerances.
