About The Position

This position provides support to the Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations Division on both the east and west coast. The role involves boat operations, maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, and shipboard support including launching and recovery of small boats. The candidate will be part of an established Marine Operations division supporting multiple projects nationwide and will receive training for functions beyond normal operations. The position requires the ability to travel 40-50% of the year for one to six weeks at a time and the ability to obtain a passport. The role also involves working varying hours, including nights and early mornings, due to customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in fabrication and welding.
  • Applicable certifications desired.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel 40-50% of the year, from one to six weeks at a time.
  • Ability to obtain a passport.
  • Possess valid state driver’s license.
  • Physically capable of transferring between vessels at sea.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of general mechanical and boat operations experience (for Tech III).
  • General knowledge of boat operations, mechanical and electrical operating systems.
  • Experience with driving pickup trucks with trailers on the road and in enclosed or limited spaces.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Interim Secret Security clearance and maintain it.
  • Pass a Drug Screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations Division.
  • Perform fabrication and welding.

  • Work in various shop environments (Engine & Engine Rebuild Shop, metal shop, wood shop, paint booth, Electrical/Electronic Shop, Micro Mini repair Facility, Target Shop, Trailer Shop).
