Requirements

• Proven experience in structural welding, fabrication, construction, or a related trade
• MIG welding experience (GMAW / FCAW)
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions
• Proficiency with welding equipment, fabrication tools, hand tools, and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety
• Ability to meet physical job demands, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and in varying weather or environmental conditions

Nice To Haves

• AWS D1.1 certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install TRACHTE metal building components including structural framing, wall and roof panels, doors, windows, HVAC units, and support steel
• Perform MIG welding (GMAW / FCAW) on structural steel and light‑gauge components
• Weld in multiple positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Cut, grind, prep, and fabricate metal components using torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication tools
• Read and interpret structural blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols to determine fit‑up and weld requirements
• Measure, layout, fit, and align components using tape measures, squares, levels, and other layout tools
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure they meet TRACHTE quality, safety, and structural standards
• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and man lifts to move steel, panels, and finished assemblies
• Load, unload, stage, and position heavy materials and building sections
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety policies
