Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of welding processes and terminology.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and instructions carefully.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year experience as a welder assistant or in a construction-related role.
- Minimum one year with welding equipment and tools.
- Basic certification in welding safety or OSHA 10-hour construction safety training.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to pursue further welding training or certifications
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize welding materials and tools for daily tasks.
- Assist welders by holding materials in place and ensuring proper alignment during welding operations.
- Maintain and clean welding equipment and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites as needed. Perform on-site project welding tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support welders in basic welding tasks under direct supervision when required.
- Report any equipment or tool malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
