The Container Welder/ Fabricator repairs, paints and performs maintenance to containers and roll-off boxes. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers, welding steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment, and fabricating steel components using a brake and shear. The position also requires cutting steel using a plasma cutter or torch, fabricating steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors, installing lids and wheels on containers, and painting repaired containers. The employee must follow all safety policies and procedures, complete required paperwork, and install company and safety decals in accordance with company standard diagrams. Other job-related duties may be assigned, and more complex repairs should be referred to the Supervisor.
