This role involves performing wire welding functions and understanding basic TIG welding principles. The Welder 3 will set up jigs and fixtures, perform non-structural tack welds, and conduct secondary processing operations such as sand blasting, wire brushing, and grinding. Responsibilities also include maintaining welding equipment, working in compliance with NADCAP requirements, and assisting in new process development and troubleshooting. The position requires effective and efficient production of parts according to certification and quality guidelines, frequent interaction with internal and external customers and support functions, and the ability to train lower-level employees with limited supervision. The role also involves cross-training other employees, completing labor tracking documentation, communicating with the team about new processes, reporting problems, and proactively working to improve efficiency and quality. The employee will exemplify and coach others on GE Leadership behaviors, utilize proper PPE and safety procedures, and abide by GE Leadership behaviors. Other duties may be required.
