About The Position

Boiler Tube Company of America (BTA) is looking for a Welder-2 to join our dedicated fabrication team. This role involves advanced welding tasks focused on boiler pressure parts and components, contributing to our mission to provide fast, reliable, and high-quality boiler replacements and repairs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced welding certifications preferred.
  • Significant welding experience in boiler or heavy industrial applications.
  • Deep knowledge of ASME codes and welding procedures relevant to pressure parts fabrication.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical documents.
  • Proven track record of performing high-quality welds with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime to meet critical deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced welding operations on boiler components including tubes, headers, waterwalls, superheaters, and economizers.
  • Interpret complex blueprints, welding procedures, and material specifications to execute precise welds.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and ASME welding codes.
  • Inspect and verify weld quality using visual and other non-destructive testing methods.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
  • Train and mentor junior welders as needed to maintain high craftsmanship standards.
