About The Position

Tindall Corporation is a leading precast concrete manufacturer with locations throughout the Southeastern U.S. The Welder 1 performs welding duties according to blueprint drawings using the GMAW process. Employees are expected to follow safety and quality rules and processes to support a safe work environment and produce high-quality products. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee must become Tindall Certified in GMAW 2G and 3G.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must become Tindall Certified in GMAW 2G and 3G.

Responsibilities

• Cut, lay out, and weld plate components.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to determine specific welding requirements.
• Use torch knowledge to cut, hole, or notch steel assemblies.
• Weld connections on panels, beams, columns, and double tees as needed.
• Weld carbon plate to plate using fillet and groove welds, and weld on rebar.
• Follow safety and quality rules and processes.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor.
