The Weld Technician will be responsible for auditing structural and A surface welds twice daily, ensuring all weld lines meet standards. This role involves correcting and coaching welders and leads, documenting non-conforming welds in a daily audit report for management, and collaborating with QC inspectors to resolve weld issues. The technician will also verify welder settings, gas mixes, and consumables according to standards, troubleshoot welding equipment, and ensure proper maintenance of grounds, leads, and guns. Additionally, the role requires reviewing prints and weld maps, assisting in the creation of Standard Work for weld lines, and maintaining familiarity with a manufacturing environment. The position also includes auditing weld Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring proper body and hand placement. Any other duties as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities.
