About The Position
The Weld Technician performs specialized welding operations on aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings and qualified procedures. This role supports the Lean manufacturing flow line by ensuring welding operations are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP. This role supports the creation, maintenance, training, coaching, and improvement of standard work.
Requirements
- Welding certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience welding aerospace alloys preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG or electron beam welding operations.
- Inspect parts prior to welding and verify proper preparation.
- Conduct pre- and post-weld inspections.
- Maintain weld documentation and process records.
- Support continuous improvement and process development initiatives.
- Operate other equipment in the cell as necessary to keep product flowing at takt.
