Weld Support Specialist 2nd shift
About The Position
Flexial is an EOE and Drug Free Workplace. "Rapidly Growing Employee-Owned Company". This position is for the 2nd shift, with hours from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and includes a $1.00 shift differential per hour. The role involves supporting welding operations with various tasks depending on the level of expertise. The Welding Support Specialist I, with guidance, will practice competence with leak checks, de-ringing, laser marking industrial parts, using measurement tools like micrometers, and industrial cleaning. The Welding Support Specialist II, with minimal guidance, must practice safe methods on laser marking aero products, pinpointing leaks, painting, using comparators for measurement, and ring/de-ring aero parts. They may also braze S&C rods and perform epoxy and braze operations for aero products, consistently delivering accurate and high-quality work.
Requirements
- Good understanding of safety
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of computer interfaces
- Appropriate hand tool usage
- Power tool usage
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, common business documents, and industry publications.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from manufacturing personnel.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportional to practical situations.
- Ability to work with principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)
- Must be an organized self-starter with good reasoning skills.
- Must be able to work under general supervision and take direction.
- Must possess basic personal computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Microsoft Outlook.
