About The Position

This position involves Weld Program administration functions including Welder Qualification and Maintenance, Weld Procedure development, and effective Project Management and customer interaction as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree or associate degree preferred.
  • QA NDT Inspector Level II certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment.
  • Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must have Microsoft Office Software experience.
  • Ability to pass drug test and background check.
  • Ability to gain access to military installations.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of NAVWELD/NAVNDT a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Welder/Brazer Qualification program is operated in accordance with industry and customer requirements.
  • Develop and/or revise Company Weld Procedures in accordance with customer and industry standards, or as needed to economize processes and procedures.
  • Maintain/obtain Level II inspector certification for Visual Testing.
  • Review and evaluate external supplier’s weld programs for compliance prior to utilization.
  • Represent the Company(s) during customer and regulatory audits of the Company’s welding, including maintenance of auditable records, and close out of customer generated audit finding reports.
  • When called upon and in conjunction with customer representatives, research customer specifications and drawings to advise as to best practices related to welding and non-destructive testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
