About The Position

This role is for a Weld Maintenance Team Leader on the 2nd shift. The position involves enforcing company rules, safety procedures, and 5S activities within the department. Key responsibilities include responding to downtime calls, assisting technicians with root cause analysis, identifying and ordering critical spare parts, ensuring the Preventive Maintenance (PM) system is effective and on schedule, and performing root cause analysis on downtime and quality incidents to implement countermeasures. The role also supports engineering with new equipment setup trials, communicates equipment failures, assists QA during investigations, and performs cost reduction activities. The team leader is responsible for preparing and ensuring the availability of items needed for PM and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all JSC rules and procedures
  • Enforce company Safety rules and procedures throughout the department and follow set example
  • Create 5s activities and enforce them throughout the department
  • Ensure all D/T calls are responded to efficiently, counter measured and supported as needed
  • Assist technicians with root cause analysis for D/T
  • Identify critical spare parts and order them as needed
  • Ensure PM system is on schedule and effective
  • Perform Root cause analysis on top downtime items and implement countermeasures
  • Monitor lines to ensure countermeasures are effective
  • Perform PM tasks as scheduled
  • Assist in repairing defects and identify areas for improvement
  • Perform Root Cause analysis for any quality related incidents and provide countermeasures
  • Support engineering with new equipment setup trials
  • Communicate existing and new equipment failures with engineering and management
  • Support QA during Quality incident investigations and implement appropriate countermeasures
  • Perform cost reduction activities to reduce overall operating costs
  • Prepare and ensure that all items necessary for PM and Projects are readily available
