About The Position

The Manufacturing Lead (Weekend Shift) is a working Lead that will assist the Department Supervisors in achieving the shifts goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost of an hourly work force. The Manufacturing Lead is an expert in one of the skilled trades of Fabrication, Weld or Assembly and will be responsible for fostering teamwork, coaching team members and performance management of their shift. This is a great growth opportunity for the right person who wants to progress their career and grow along with Serrmi.

Requirements

• Proactive on safety concerns and takes action when appropriate.
• Familiarity with Fabrication, Weld, and Assembly areas.
• High sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Must wear company-approved safety glasses and steel toe boots while in the plant and warehouse areas.

• Expertise in Fabrication, Weld, or Assembly skilled trades.

Responsibilities

• Assists Department Supervisors in achieving shift goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Fosters teamwork, coaches team members, and performs performance management for their shift.
• Executes the manufacturing plan set by Department Supervisors.
• Works closely with other Leads and Supervisors to ensure smooth transition between shifts.
• Coordinates workflow for a work area of 7-10 employees to ensure production schedules are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Produces required quality of work.
• Provides coaching and facilitates training to develop employees.
• Demonstrates leadership in communication, conflict resolution, process constraints, and problem-solving.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
