About The Position

K&R Staffing is seeking experienced Weld Grinders for a well-established manufacturer specializing in architectural doors, frames, hardware, and specialty metal products. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for individuals who take pride in producing high-quality finishes and have experience in a metal fabrication environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a weld grinder, metal finisher, or fabrication technician required.
Ability to use angle grinders, die grinders, flap wheels, and finishing tools.
Ability to read a tape measure and basic fabrication drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, or architectural metal products preferred.

Responsibilities

Grind, smooth, and finish welded metal components to meet quality standards.
Remove excess weld material, slag, and imperfections using hand and power grinders.
Blend welds to create seamless, professional finishes on steel products.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and cosmetic appearance.
Safely operate grinders, sanders, and other fabrication tools.
Work closely with welders and fabrication teams to ensure production deadlines are met.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
