About The Position

AUTOKINITON is seeking a hands-on Welding Engineer for its heavy stamping operations in an automotive manufacturing environment. The role focuses on taking ownership of welding processes and solving manufacturing challenges while working with the team on the manufacturing floor. The position supports operational excellence, quality, efficiency, reliability, and innovation through process optimization and continuous improvement. The position is located in Bluffton, Ohio. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Welding or robotic engineering, or equivalent; CWI, CWE, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of related technical experience with welding processes, robotic automation, projection welding, and resistance welding systems.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on, proactive approach to engineering challenges.
Knowledge of robotic programming, such as ABB or Fanuc.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CAD.
Automotive or fast-paced manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Optimize robotic and resistance welding processes to improve quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Troubleshoot complex welding challenges and implement lasting solutions.
Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to drive continuous improvement.
Support new product launches, process development, and equipment improvements.
Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, improve productivity, and strengthen manufacturing performance.
