About The Position

RSI’s flagship, patented product is the SmartCap®, the world’s first flat-packable truck cap system, made of durable stainless steel and capable of customization to fit every customer’s specific interests and needs. We are seeking a Weld Cell Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating robotic weld cell machines, ensuring high-quality welded components, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Weld Cell Operator plays a key role in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards while contributing to our culture of teamwork and innovation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with robotic weld cells
- Knowledge of loading and unloading parts on jigs and fixtures
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing or metalworking environment
- A desire to learn new technologies and motivation to go above and beyond minimum requirements
- Basic welding background
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles
Responsibilities
- Operate, program and maintain robotic welding machines, including charting machine performance and administering routine checks/maintenance
- Read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Plan sequences of operation to achieve optimal precision and tolerances
- Prepare raw materials for production, ensuring material quality prior to production sequence
