About The Position

La Colonia Medical Center is seeking a Welcome Center Attendant to serve as the frontline for assistance, communication and information for our patients. This position will provide support for patients, visitors, staff and providers through the greeting, directing and registration process.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills and experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work with computers and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written
Must be fluent in spoken and written English/Spanish.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, staff, patients and visitors.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication to deliver a pleasant patient experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background screening.

Responsibilities

Greet patients upon arrival at the Center and situate them to the corresponding area.
Offer personalized attention to the patients who visit the Center for the first time by explaining the operation of the Center and provide a guided tour of the facility.
Inform the appropriate staff of the patients’ arrival to their appointments indicating the time and mode of transportation in the systems.
Maintain the Center's Lobby area with updated advertising materials.
Identify patients who visit the Center for the first time, potential patients, walk-ins and emergencies.
Maintain harmony and tranquility in the Lobby area by attending to the needs of the patients and encouraging them to participate in activities and surveys.
Measure patient satisfaction and monitors patients' requests and complaints until the situation is resolved.
Perform other duties as assigned.
