About The Position

The Welcome Center Attendant helps maintain a safe environment by greeting and providing directions if needed to visitors, monitoring fire panel, maintaining traffic log, and securing assigned doors. This role contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, maintains punctuality and completes shift assignments, and performs the job with a neat, professional appearance, conducting themselves in a friendly, professional manner to provide quality customer service. The attendant monitors the fire alarm system, maintains the vehicle log and monitors traffic, gives directions, and handles the locking and unlocking of assigned doors. This includes locking up all assigned doors after the 2nd shift and unlocking all assigned doors before the 1st shift. The role requires communication with residents, the maintenance department, and other personnel in a proper manner. The attendant helps maintain and secure all areas of Salemtowne by reporting any maintenance/security issues, and maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. The position also promotes and supports the Salemtowne Shines culture & philosophy and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ security experience.
  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess and exhibits a strong positive attitude toward customer service and a genuine interest in geriatric care and uphold the philosophy of the community.
  • Excels in crisis management.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and following written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to strive to do the best job possible and accountable for one’s own action.
  • Capability of handling routine problems effectively.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to maintain a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Capable of standing and walking short distances for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Stoop and bend at the knees, twisting from side to side at the waist.
  • Reach above, below, and at shoulder level.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20, touch using fine finger movement/dexterity, smell, and hear correctable to normal range.
