Welcome Center Associate (PT)
About The Position
This is a part-time, year-round position where the associate will deliver five-star guest service within the Welcome Center and extend it throughout the resort community. The centers offer resort information, free resources, and assistance with lodging, dining, transportation, shopping, and day trip ideas. The role provides an opportunity to meet and interact with people from diverse backgrounds worldwide. The ideal candidate is outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable about Vail, contributing to the services provided by the Vail Welcome Centers. The Welcome Centers are open 7 days a week, and the position requires on-call availability as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience providing world-class customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively and use a high degree of tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with diverse groups and individuals.
- Ability to meet scheduling needs.
Responsibilities
- Provides accurate and helpful information to all visitors while exceeding their expectations with high-quality guest service.
- Acts as an ambassador to the Vail community, maintaining a positive and welcoming environment that creates a memorable experience for guests.
- Continually looks for ways to improve performance, services, and programs.
- Provides helpful information to guests and responds to inquiries.
- Offers suggestions and addresses concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Handles repetitive questions, scenarios, and tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Maintains a proper display of materials such as brochures, visitor packets, maps, etc.
- Upholds relationships with local businesses, knowing store hours, products, and services.
- Tracks referrals and visitor numbers to prepare reports.
- Offers eye contact, smiles, and engages with everyone who enters the centers.
- Is alert to safety factors and facility maintenance needs.
- Ensures Welcome Centers are clean and organized at all times.
- Presents a professional appearance, including following dress code, personal appearance standards, and professional communications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
