About The Position

The Welcome Ambassador serves as the first and last impression of The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa, creating memorable guest experiences through warm, personalized, and authentic hospitality. This role is responsible for greeting arriving and departing guests, assisting with resort orientation, providing information and recommendations, and supporting front office operations to ensure a seamless guest journey. The Welcome Ambassador embodies the Westin brand by delivering exceptional service that promotes guest comfort, wellness, and satisfaction while fostering meaningful connections throughout the stay.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of hospitality, customer service, guest relations, or front office experience preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and guest engagement skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening abilities.
  • Ability to remain professional, approachable, and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a guest-focused mindset.
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn Marriott operating systems.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent interaction with guests in indoor and outdoor resort environments.
  • Ability to walk throughout the resort property and remain visible in guest-facing areas.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly, professional, and engaging presence.
  • Create memorable first impressions by providing personalized service and proactively addressing guest needs.
  • Assist guests with resort orientation, amenities, dining options, activities, and local area recommendations.
  • Facilitate efficient guest arrivals and departures by collaborating with Front Desk, Bell Services, and other departments.
  • Monitor the main lobby and arrival areas to identify opportunities to assist guests and enhance the guest experience.
  • Support VIP arrivals, group arrivals, and special guest requests.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and service recovery opportunities with professionalism and urgency.
  • Promote resort services, events, Marriott Bonvoy benefits, and wellness-focused experiences.
  • Maintain a polished and welcoming appearance of guest-facing areas.
  • Build positive relationships with guests to encourage loyalty, return visits, and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the resort.
  • Adhere to Marriott and Westin brand standards, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of resort operations, local attractions, transportation options, and guest programming.
