About The Position

The Weigher position is responsible for weighing ingredients according to manufacturing work order requests, ensuring weights are correct, and the proper tagging of each ingredient is accurate and in place. This position picks full and minor ingredients to form a kit for both manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while stocking, storing, and maneuvering around the work area.
  • Able to stand on feet for 10+ hours.

Responsibilities

  • Weighing and scaling of ingredients based on manufacturing work order requirements.
  • Monitors inventory levels and alerts material manager if inventories are perceived to be low.
  • Performs monthly raw inventory count as necessary.
  • Scanning and storing of ingredients in proper designated location.
  • Completes production paperwork designed to record all required information that is not collected through the ASC system.
  • Performs general clean up and organizational duties during and at the end of the each shift, ensuring plant cleanliness cGMP’s.
  • Ensure proper usage of raw ingredient lot numbers using FIFO.
  • Assist other team members as required to reach desired output.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, possess good morale, be motivated and communicate openly.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper housekeeping levels are maintained.
  • Ensures that all safety and security procedures are followed.
  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) are maintained.
