About The Position

We are looking for a proven manufacturing leader with 5+ years of similar supervisory experience in a metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment. This role will work with leadership to manage and execute weekend production plans across two divisions: Utility Metals and Strong Hold. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, keeps their team focused on production targets, quality, and safety, and possesses strong team management skills with the ability to lead and develop direct reports. A safety-oriented approach to maintaining a secure work environment and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure smooth weekend operations are also key. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM (12-hour shifts), where you work 36 hours and get paid for 40.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and operating fabrication machinery.
  • Familiarity with basic math, measurements, and quality control processes.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable operating a forklift and using pallet jacks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Similar supervisory experience in a metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the weekend production plan set by the Plant Managers.
  • Oversee all weekend production activities for Utility Metals and Strong Hold divisions.
  • Directly supervise and lead 18 team members across welding, paint, production, and machine operation.
  • Read and interpret standard production drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to quality specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs for defective materials or machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Enforce safety policies and best practices for all employees and equipment usage.
  • Focus on building high-quality products efficiently while meeting output goals.
