About The Position

ComForCare is seeking an experienced, compassionate, dedicated, and dependable Caregiver/CNA/Medical Assistant to join their Weekend Warrior Dream Team. This is a fully On-Call position covering Hillsdale, Lenawee, and Jackson counties in Michigan, from Friday at 3 PM to Monday at 7 AM. The role involves providing hands-on support to clients in their homes when called upon due to staff call-offs. The caregiver will use a smartphone app for shift details, location, and client care information. Travel between counties may be required. This position demands extensive availability and the ability to work with minimal rest between shifts. Professionalism, including wearing scrubs, is required at all times. A passion for caregiving, hard work, and dependability are essential.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as a caregiver with an agency or nursing home experience.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 2 weekends per month.
• Must be comfortable taking care of a male or female client.
• Must be comfortable working in homes that may be unclean or unkept.
• Must wear scrubs and maintain a professional appearance.
• Must have a Smart Phone for work-related app usage.
• Must answer every call promptly.
• Must be available at all times throughout the assignment.
• Must complete required 7.75 hours of Relias paid training before starting.
• Must have extensive availability.
• Must be able to go with little rest or sleep in between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for clients in their homes.
• Use lifts.
• Take vital signs.
• Empty catheter bags.
• Give showers.
• Change briefs and pull-ups.
• Assist with dressing.
• Cook meals.
• Do laundry.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide possible transportation.
• Assist with medication.
• Take client weights.
• Perform other client care tasks as needed.
• Respond promptly to all calls.
• Be available at all times throughout the assignment.
• Complete required paid training.
