This position is responsible for supporting and backing up operators in the packaging process in accordance with operational manuals and quality criteria. The Weekend Utility Operator supports the Packaging Operator by learning their role and performing a variety of tasks, both mechanical and manual. This role involves backing up the Packaging Operator and performing their tasks, including case filling, manual palletization, packaging, bagging, case labeling, bag lot coding, case check weighing, sanitation, and supporting other operators. The position also requires operating all manual and automatic packaging equipment, maintaining housekeeping of packaging machines and the plant area, checking equipment cleanliness, finalizing paperwork, utilizing the ERP System for inventory management, and following all quality guidelines and sanitation schedules to maintain a food-safe environment. Additionally, the role may involve supporting other lines or process functions as necessary, disposing of waste materials, and operating a forklift.
