About The Position

This role assists in supervising nursing services and setting standards of care to ensure each resident receives comprehensive medical, physical, emotional, and psychological support. Requirements

A registered nurse that is licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

Supports the Director of Nursing in monitoring, evaluating, and organizing direct nursing care.
Effectively communicates with the Director of Nursing, Medical Doctors, team members, and residents to promote the best clinical outcomes and enhance continuity of care.
Works cooperatively as part of the interdisciplinary team to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
Makes frequent rounds throughout the shift and assists residents and staff when necessary.
Uses critical thinking for resident conditions and implements interventions to prevent avoidable rehospitalizations.
Monitors completion of electronic medical records/documentation.
Educates staff on policies and processes when necessary.
Supports newly hired nursing staff.
