About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily clinical aspect of the Assisted Living Department, functioning to meet all residents’ needs. This role involves weekend coverage as a whole house clinical supervisor for Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing/Neurobehavioral Facility on Fridays (8 hours), Saturdays (12 hours), and Sundays (12 hours). An optional Monday shift is also available. The supervisor is responsible for medication supervision/administration, providing health consultations, notifying physicians and family of changes in resident health, responding to emergencies, maintaining inter-departmental communication, and ensuring resident confidentiality. The role also includes understanding the Safety & Disaster Plan, conducting educational meetings, and handling disciplinary actions. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school: or Two years related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
  • Registered Nurse’s License current, with no judgments against it, in the state in which he/she is practicing
  • CPR certified
  • Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
  • 1+ years of experience in a skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Weekend Coverage as whole house clinical supervisor for AL, MC, S/NF on Friday (8), Saturday (12), Sunday (12), Monday (optional)
  • Responsible for medication supervision/administration for the Assisted Living Department and Skilled Nursing in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
  • Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
  • Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
  • Respond quickly to all emergencies.
  • Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
  • Understand roll in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
  • Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
  • Handle necessary disciplinary actions
  • Other duties as assigned
