You serve as a visible leader, resource, and problem solver while ensuring continuity of care and operational excellence throughout the weekend. As the Weekend Supervisor, you will serve as the primary nursing leader on weekends for our Health Care Center. Reporting directly to the Clinical Manager, you will provide clinical oversight, staff support, resident advocacy, and operational leadership.

Requirements

  • Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a leadership capacity
  • Ability to serve in an on-call leadership role during assigned weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or nurse leadership experience
  • Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or senior living experience
  • Experience with staffing coordination and team leadership

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and supervision for nursing staff during weekend operations
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clinical concerns, urgent situations, and resident care issues
  • Supporting residents and families by addressing questions, concerns, and care needs
  • Assisting with staffing coordination and weekend scheduling challenges
  • Carrying the on-call phone from Friday afternoon through Monday morning
  • Responding to urgent after-hours situations, including falls and significant clinical events
  • Collaborating with charge nurses, CNAs, CMAs, physicians, and department leaders to ensure quality resident care
  • Monitoring clinical operations and helping ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and community policies
  • Providing direct resident care when needed to support resident safety and team success
  • Completing weekend reports, documentation, and follow-up communication for weekday leadership teams
  • Participating in Monday morning leadership discussions regarding weekend operations and resident concerns
