About The Position

Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Rocky Mount, NC area, specifically in the Saddlebrook and Hunter Hill communities. The contractor will be responsible for installing signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and picking them up between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. The work can be performed at any time within these windows, provided all signs are placed by Saturday at 10:00 AM and removed by Monday at 8:00 AM. Artisan Direct provides the signs and stakes, and offers replacement inventory as needed. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, meaning contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. Contractors set their own driving order, use their own vehicle and mobile device, and must complete work within the specified time windows. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. Contractors can accept or decline routes but must complete any route they commit to.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
18+ years old
Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30+ signs
A smartphone (Android or iPhone), roughly four years old or newer, capable of running our mobile app
Ability to lift and place signs and work outdoors
Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only
Dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend

Responsibilities

Use Artisan Direct's mobile application to report installation and pickup of signs at specific locations
Install signs every weekend between Friday 5 PM and Saturday 10 AM
Pickup the same signs between Sunday 6 PM and Monday 8 AM
Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week
Submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory after completing pick up- using our website
