About The Position

Heating & Cooling Products (HCP) is seeking a skilled and motivated Weekend Shift Production Supervisor to join their manufacturing team in Byesville, OH. This critical role involves overseeing weekend shift operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production workers. The company, founded in 1955 and now part of the Smith’s Group under the Flex-Tek Division, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing HVAC sheet metal products and is currently in an exciting phase of growth.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Proficiency in computer systems, including ERP software and Microsoft Office suite
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control methods
Must exhibit time management skills
Regular attendance is essential
Professional, detail oriented, and dependable
Employee and customer driven
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory position
Ability to Commute: Byesville, OH 43723 (Required)

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the weekend shift, ensuring production goals are met
Responsible for daily shift meetings, workstation assignments/rotations, shift paperwork, timecard and production sheet approvals
Manage production schedules, employee performance, payroll, attendance, timecards, training and disciplinary actions
Collaborate with other shift supervisors to ensure smooth transitions and consistent operations
Consistently evaluate productivity and current staff to optimize production efficiencies to meet schedules
Responsible for quality control, working with team members to adjust as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications
Manage and motivate team members to achieve production goals
Support safety policies and procedures within the plant; including safety accident investigation and reporting
Schedule, communicate, and conduct shift meetings as needed
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
Provide continuous feedback in an environment that fosters open communication
Follow all Company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
