About The Position
Inspire Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a dedicated Weekend On-Call RN to join their care team. This role provides clinical support and care to patients and families during the weekend, from Friday at 5:00 PM to Monday at 8:00 AM. The nurse will respond to urgent needs, provide guidance, and offer emotional support, acting as a trusted resource when the regular care team is unavailable. Inspire Hospice is recognized as a leader in hospice and palliative care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach and a supportive team environment.
Requirements
- Current Georgia RN license
- Valid driver’s license
- Dependable transportation
- Automobile insurance
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of clinical experience
- Hospice or home health experience
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to on-call needs for symptom management, comfort care, and emotional support
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care per physician orders
- Educate patients and caregivers about disease progression, nutrition, and self-care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure continuity of care
- Document all interventions and communications accurately and in a timely manner
