About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Weekend Nursing Supervisor (RN or LPN) to join our team at Ghent Health and Rehabilitation. This full-time position involves working 7pm to 7am on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The ideal candidate is a strong nurse leader passionate about mentoring staff, ensuring compliance, and making a significant impact on resident outcomes. This role is crucial for upholding our high standards of care.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting).
- At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
- Compassionate and dedicated to providing superior resident care.
- Ability to work weekends with flexibility and adaptability.
- Completion of Preceptor Training (or willingness to complete upon hire).
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff, managing daily staffing needs and ensuring quality resident care.
- Assist in ongoing education and training for all staff to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional care.
- Provide hands-on nursing care, meeting residents' medical needs in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Conduct and document comprehensive resident assessments upon admission and throughout their stay.
- Assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, ensuring adherence to resident rights and facility policies.
- Play a key role in the hiring and retention of skilled nursing professionals.
- Address concerns from residents and families, ensuring grievances are handled professionally and effectively.
- Implement new ideas, enhance processes, and support a positive, results-driven management team to drive continuous improvement.
