This position is responsible for the management of the skilled unit in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The role requires direct and individualized nursing care to assigned residents, observation and assessment of various resident needs, and interpretation of assessment data to develop care plans. The supervisor ensures medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately, medication administration is correct, and documentation is timely and consistent with the resident plan of care. They also assemble resident charts, prepare incident/accident reports, assist residents with self-care, supervise nursing team members, monitor meals, organize material resources, recognize emergencies, ensure call lights are answered promptly, assist with new staff orientation, and ensure scheduled activities take place.
