About The Position

A warm, professional couple based on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced weekend nanny for their 16-month-old son. The weekend will involve a combination of sole-charge and shared care. The parents have busy schedules and often have evening commitments, so the nanny should be comfortable independently managing the child’s daytime and evening routines, including meals, activities, naps and bedtime. The position will offer approximately 34 guaranteed hours per week. Private accommodation will be provided throughout the nanny’s working block. This is a fully child-focused position with no general household cleaning required. The family is seeking someone calm, warm and caring who can provide dependable weekend support and accommodate occasional travel. The ideal candidate will respect the family’s privacy and personal space while becoming a consistent, long-term presence in their son’s life.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of professional nanny experience
• Recent experience caring for infants and toddlers
• Excellent, verifiable professional references
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• CPR and first-aid certification
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, if required

Responsibilities

• Manage the child’s daytime, evening and bedtime routines
• Plan age-appropriate activities, classes, playdates and outings
• Support the child’s developmental milestones through engaging play
• Prepare and serve all meals and snacks for the child
• Manage the child’s laundry and keep his clothing and wardrobe organized
• Keep the nursery, play areas and child-related belongings tidy and organized
• Coordinate with the weekday nanny to maintain consistency
• Communicate openly with the parents regarding the child’s care and routine
• Provide evening babysitting on Friday and Saturday
• Travel with the family on occasional weekends
