About The Position

Quail Park of Lynnwood is seeking an outgoing individual with experience in a senior living community to join their Life Engagement team in the Tribute Memory Care Department. This role involves planning, assisting with, and coordinating social events and activities to keep residents stimulated and engaged. The position also requires assisting the care team with monitoring residents, updating social history profiles, and implementing behavior management strategies. Training will be provided for driving the bus for outings.

Requirements

At least 1 year experience working in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership
Previous experience working in a memory care setting
CNA/HCA
Valid driver's license
Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members
Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s credentials
Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel

Responsibilities

Assist in implementation of scheduled resident activities
Assist, plan, coordinate and participate in a variety of social events, outings, and on-site activities to ensure resident social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are met
Act as a role model to community team members for communication and behavior management strategies and engage residents in meaningful activity and social interaction
Ensure all resident activities, outings and events occur according to schedule
Assist in recruiting, training and scheduling an adequate number of volunteers to support the community activity program
Support the team ensuring all resident care and activity is provided in a safe and effective manner while consistently maintaining resident dignity, choice and respect.
