About The Position
Puget Sound Hospice of King County, WA is looking for an experienced Weekend Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN. This role involves providing compassionate end-of-life care to patients throughout King County. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, managing symptoms, coordinating care plans, and supporting patients and families in the home setting. The position offers a flexible PRN weekend schedule, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while making a direct impact on patient care. Requirements
- Current Washington RN license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Hospice agency experience required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
- Strong assessment, communication, and time-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Complete hospice assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide skilled nursing care, medication management, and symptom control.
- Coordinate care with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and families on care needs and disease progression.
- Participate in on-call and team meetings as needed.
