Weekend Home Caregiver 30-Hour Specialist
About The Position
The HCA/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. Qualicare Homecare BC has an immediate, high-priority opening for a dedicated Caregiver to cover a predictable 30-hour weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). This is an ideal position for someone looking for a consistent, dedicated weekly case! Qualicare Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family as Health Care Aides (HCAs)/ Personal Support Workers (PSWs)/ Caregivers. Requirements
- Availability: Full, reliable availability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (30 hours/week)
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel around Greater Vancouver Area
- Access to Internet/smart phone with data
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Assist/ Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow care-plan
- Documentation/Charting
