About The Position

JSSA is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Weekend Bus Driver for our Ride-On contract serving the Rockville and Tobytown communities. This position operates on Route 301 | Tobytown / Rockville Station in Rockville, MD.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid CDL-P (Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement).
• Current DOT Physical
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand maps, schedules, and written instructions.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for riders and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a passenger bus along designated routes and schedules.
• Assist passengers, including individuals with disabilities.
• Clearly announce stops and provide helpful customer service.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including accessibility equipment.
• Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Complete accident and incident reports in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain professionalism and composure while working in a fast-paced public transportation environment.
