About The Position

As a CT Technologist at Mon Health, you will provide quality radiologic care to patients for diagnostic and/or treatment purposes involving anatomic and physiologic disorders. You will use radiation exposure that is as low as reasonably achievable for both the patient and yourself, while providing an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care, and clinical excellence one patient at a time. The position is located at Mon Medical Center Main Campus in Morgantown, West Virginia, and has a day schedule of 72 hours per pay period.

Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• Required Radiologic Technologist license.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with physicians and coworkers and instruct patients and their families.
• Ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and more than 20 pounds constantly.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to produce quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Handle equipment according to policies, procedures, protocols, and manufacturer guidelines; communicate equipment issues and independently clean and stock rooms.
• Operate computers and RIS/PACS systems in accordance with policies and protocols to protect patient confidentiality, ensure valid charges and data, and submit quality images for radiologist interpretation.
• Use age-appropriate patient positioning and education techniques while maintaining a patient- and customer-focused approach.
• Participate in staff meetings or review meeting minutes when unable to attend, complete self-education, in-services, and competencies, and maintain required job knowledge, licensure, credentials, and continuing education.
• Ensure work and information are complete and accurate, prepare carefully for meetings and presentations, and follow up to ensure agreements and commitments are fulfilled.
• Perform other duties as required.
