About The Position

Join Embark Behavioral Health in Washington at our Sunrise long-term Mental Health Residential Treatment Center. We blend clinical excellence with heart, offering a safe, home-like environment for girls and boys ages 12–17 to heal, grow, and thrive. This role is for an independent cook who loves preparing meals for small, personalized groups and wants to elevate their cooking skills while making a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of cooking experience.
  • A current Food Handler's Permit, and a valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of health codes and proper sanitation.
  • Comfortable working with adolescents in a treatment setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare 2 meals each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for clients and staff.
  • Prepare mid-meal snacks, ensuring food is always readily available.
  • Assist in food preparation and storage.
  • Oversee the overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the kitchen.
  • Prepare food ahead of time for the following day's menu.
  • Collaborate with residential staff to serve meals in a timely manner.
