Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with established policies and procedures. This role involves reviewing menus, preparing meals, working with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services, and performing administrative tasks such as completing necessary forms and reports. The cook will also assist in establishing food service production lines, processing diet changes, preparing appetizing and palatable meals, serving meals on time, and preparing bedtime snacks. Additionally, the role includes preparing substitute foods, assisting with cleaning duties, helping with food preparation for special events, and ensuring adequate stock levels of food and supplies. The position also emphasizes treating residents with dignity and respect, promoting resident rights, adhering to facility policies and regulations, maintaining confidentiality, and reporting any noncompliance or safety concerns.
